Our project is strategically designed as a consolidated response to the intersectional challenges of digital transformation and social exclusion within VET. By integrating a structured AI-driven mentoring framework with a full semester of peer-to-peer support, the project directly addresses the low academic proficiency and high dropout risk among Roma students at 94 SU. The above objectives of our project represent a consolidated response to the complex challenges faced by marginalized learners in vocational education.

By creating a structured AI-driven peer mentoring framework and implementing a full semester of peer support at 94SU, the project simultaneously fosters an inclusive environment and addresses low academic proficiency among Roma students. This will be achieved by transforming STEM and AI from abstract concepts into practical, supportive method that enhance the “critical friend” relationship between mentors and mentees, thereby building the self-efficacy and basic skills necessary to prevent dropout.

Furthermore, the integration of microcredential training for teachers ensures that the school’s physical STEM infrastructure is matched by high-level pedagogical readiness, effectively modernizing the VET curriculum of Clothing production and Courier subjects. This holistic approach ensures that the pursuit of VET excellence and internationalization is not detached from the reality of disadvantaged learners; instead, it uses digital transformation as a vehicle for social inclusion.

By equipping 30 mentors and 30 mentees with modern technological competencies in line with DigiComp 2.2 framework, the project ensures that Roma students are not left behind by the digital transition but are instead empowered with the specific STEM and AI usage skills required for resilience and employability in the internationalized labour market context.
